“LEADERSHIP HONOR CODE”
As an essential part of Harvest Hill Church leadership “Harvest Team”, we
have a responsibility to develop and exhibit mature Christian behaviors that
honor Christ and one another. This should be the basic premise of your desire to
work in a servant/leader position on one of our “Harvest Teams”.
As believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, the way we present ourselves to
others is of vital importance to the way others perceive Christ. The way we live
our lives may be the only “Bible” that some people will ever read. Our conduct
should always represent our Lord and His direction in scripture thus exemplifying
the best qualities of a mature Christian servant/leader.
Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and
glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
Exemplifying the highest moral commitment, Harvest Team members are to
maintain a disciplined life of bible reading, quiet time, prayer and fasting.
We must also refrain from such things as:
1. Profanity (James 3:10)
2. Alcohol abuse (1 Peter 5:8)
3. Dishonest gain (Romans 13:9)
4. Illegal drugs (2 Timothy 4:5)
5. Pornography (Matthew 5:28)
6. Sexual immorality (Ephesians 5:3)
7. All behaviors which might cause the Holy Spirit to grieve and others to
stumble (Romans 14:21)
“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day
of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30
By providing an example in speech and in action, we encourage others to
grow in Christ and become servant/leaders themselves. This is a way of life that
is measured by the heart and a commitment of each leader on a “Harvest Team”.
We regard it as an essential part of our development, not as an imposition or
“And He was saying to them all, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.” Luke 9:23
While serving the body of Christ as a part of one of the “Harvest Teams” at
Harvest Hill Church, I pledge to present a good appearance at all times. In both
attire and behavior, I will strive to demonstrate Biblical Standards in all situations
with the help of the Holy Spirit.
