I understand and agree:
1. It is my responsibility to comply with the mandatory annual training and chapter meeting requirements by accessing the Austin Chapter Volleyball website. It is my responsibility to explain noncompliance for any mandatory
training/chapter meetings prior to the required dates to my assigned at-large representative.
2. Failure on my part to attend annual required training and chapter meetings may result in probation, suspension, or termination of my membership with the Austin Chapter.
3. Annual membership in the Chapter and/or state organization does not guarantee game assignments.
4. In accepting game assignments from the Chapter, I am acting as an independent contractor. The Austin Chapter
does not provide any insurance directly to its members.
5. I am responsible for up-to-date contact information in Arbiter and directly with the chapter assigning secretary, as well as any change to my officiating availability and restrictions.
6. I will file all Arbiter game reports as required by the Chapter and all incident reports as required by TASO or UIL.
7. All game assignments received through the Chapter are subject to revocation, cancellation, or reassignment in the event I cease to be a member in good standing, or if it is in the best interest of the Chapter that the game is revoked, cancelled, or reassigned.
8. I will disclose any possible conflicts of interest with schools, coaches, or others to the Assignor prior to being assigned any matches.
9. I must achieve a score of 90 on the rules examination in order to be eligible for varsity matches and playoffs.
10. I understand that failure to follow the bylaws and policies of the Austin Chapter and the procedures for officiating as prescribed in chapter training and the NFHS rulebook may result in revocation of membership.
11. I will pay any applicable fee for canceling a game once I have accepted the game assignment and pay any applicable assigning fees and/or fines as they become due.
12. Chapter dues only (not State) will not be refunded unless requests are received by the following dates: March 1st (100%), July 1st (50%). All refund requests must be made via email or regular mail to the Chapter Treasurer.
