Application Instructions

Please use this application to apply for Study at and short-term programs.

1. Please use English.
2. If you need an I-20/DS-2019 from us, please upload the following documents where indicated below:
   • photocopy of passport ID page for you and all family members who will accompany you
   • photocopy of your current I-20 (if transferring from another US school)
   • Bank statement in English showing enough money for your chosen program
   • Certificate of Finance Form (click to view form) where the sponsor's name matches the name on the bank statement
3. Submit non-refundable Application Fee, if applicable, to the American Language & Culture Program. Send wire transfer (click to view form), check, or money order payable to "The California State University, Stanislaus."  If you plan to pay through wire transfer, please be sure to contact our office so that we can monitor the payment.

Please note that your application cannot be processed until all required materials are received.

To be accepted into the Undergraduate Study @ Stan State program, you are required to submit proof of English proficiency.

TOEFL ITP: 500 with part scores of 50
TOEFL iBT: 61 with part scores of 15
IELTS: 6.0 with part scores of 6.0

Students can receive an exemption for submitting TOELF/IELTS scores by submitting proof of one of the following:

• Official admission test score report (ACT or SAT I)
• Transfer students who have taken an English Composition course at U.S. Higher Education Institution with a grade of B or higher.
• Attended a U.S. high school for 3 years.

To be accepted into the Graduate Study @ Stan State program, you are required to submit proof of English proficiency.

TOEFL ITP: 550 with part scores of 54
TOEFL iBT: 80 with part scores of 20 Reading, 19 Listening, 16 Writing
IELTS: 6.5 Band with part scores of 6.0

Students can receive an exemption for submitting TOELF/IELTS scores by submitting proof of one of the following:

• Official admission test score report (ACT or SAT I)
• Transfer students who have taken an English Composition course at U.S. Higher Education Institution with a grade of B or higher.
• Attended a U.S. high school for 3 years.

To be accepted into the Intensive English + Undergraduate Study@ program, you are required to submit proof of English proficiency.

To be accepted into the Intensive English + Graduate Study@ program, you are required to submit proof of English proficiency.

TOEFL ITP 500-549
IELTS 5.5-6.0

Student Agreement

• If I will be an F-1 or J-1 student, I understand that I must obey all immigration policies governing international students.
• If I will be an F-1 or J-1 student, I understand that I must use the university provided health insurance unless I qualify for a waiver.
• I understand admission to the ALCP is NOT admission to a degree program at CSU Stanislaus.
• I understand payment for ALCP class fees are due in full at registration.
• I understand I must show proof of immunization. Without proof of immunization, I will be required to receive immunization upon arrival at CSU Stanislaus.
• I certify all the information is true and correct to the best of my knowledge.
