Become a foster

Foster Application
Fosters are not expected to provide medical care for their foster dogs. Bigbee Humane Society provides such care and reimburses fosters for any approved expenses. All supplies will be provided as well i.e. food, collar, leash, crate, etc. We ask that you care for the foster dog as if the dog were your own. We require the foster dog to be kept primary indoors, and never left outdoors unattended.

A vet reference is required to foster, just the same as if you were adopting. We do not send dogs into homes with un-vaccinated or unaltered pets. Your personal pet much be kept up on a heartworm/flea/tick prevention as well. Please provide your vet's name and contact number below:

By submitting this form, you understand any foster dog in your home belongs to Bigbee Humane Society. If interested in adopting any foster dog please complete the adoption application. Normally a foster dog will be in the home for 2-4 weeks. Medical fosters may be in the home for 4-8 weeks depending on the dog
