The purpose of this nomination form is to acquaint DSUSO with the innovative and sustainable efforts made by students at Dalhousie University and Kings College. Those nominating students are required to fill out the information below and must attest to the efforts made.

The criteria for the selection are as follows:

1. Students must attend Dalhousie University or Kings College

2. Student societies and student groups are eligbale for nomination however, this year individual students are not

3. Makes strives for a more sustainable community and future through events, actions and community advocacy 

4. There are five awards this year but please only nominate your chosen group for one. (Award descriptions are below)

Self-nominations are acceptable for student groups and student societies

Community Engagement Award

This is an award for the group that goes beyond the boundries of Dalhousie University and Kings College. Engaging the local community and beyond to get involved in sustainable initiatives that help make Halifax and surrounding regions a more self-sustaining community.

Status Quo Smashers Award

This award goes to the group that defies the status quo. They don't let norms stop them from making Dalhousie/Kings/Halifax a more inclusive and sustainable environment for everyone.

Most Original Initiative Award

This award goes to the group that had the most original idea this past year. We love all ideas and initiatives that help make the world and local community a more sustainable place to live however, this is for the group that went above and beyond to host the most original and epic event of the year!

Intersectional Engagement Award

This award goes to the group that embraced differences and stepped outside their boundries to open their doors to everyone, no matter the difference in order to make a change. 

Little Sprout Award

This award goes to the group that founded their seeds and have only sprouted, bloomed and blossomed from the beginning! They may be new but they have nurtered their cause and used outstanding outreach to not only grow their group but grow their cause.
