Official Charity Rules and Obligations
This initiative aims to support local charities and enhance community involvement in this cherished event. Below are the important rules and obligations that your organization must adhere to in order to participate:
1. Application Deadline:
- Completed applications must be submitted no later than March 2, 2025. Late applications will unfortunately not be considered.
2. Guaranteed Spots Allocation:
- Upon selection, your charity will receive a designated number of guaranteed spots in the full or half marathon.
- Participating entries are limited exclusively to the full or half marathon events.
- In case all allocated spots are filled, the St George Marathon staff retain the discretion to allocate additional spots.
3. Registration & Donation Requirements:
- Each participant will be responsible for paying the marathon registration fee in addition to making a donation to your charity.
- Your organization will be provided with a unique registration link to distribute among donors.
- All registration and donation fees are required to be completed by August 31, 2025, without exceptions.
4. Stripe Account Requirement:
- Each participating charity must establish a Stripe account to securely accept donations. This will facilitate the seamless processing of funds donated by marathon entrants.
5. Success Stories:
- We encourage charities to submit brief write-ups of success stories stemming from your participation. These narratives are invaluable in demonstrating the impact of our collective efforts.
