Thank you for your interest in participating in the Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association. At this time applications submitted will be for the 2025-2026 school year.
As a member of ROPSSAA, Indipendent schools along with members from the Peel District School Board and Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board agrees to abide by all Articles of the Constitution, as well as all rules and regulations of ROPSSAA.
Membership in ROPSSAA provides many benefits for your students and provides opportunity to participate in competition with public and private school counterparts. However, membership in the Association also carries with it responsibilities. These responsibilities include but are not limited to, timely submission of information as requested by ROPSSAA, timely payment of fees and invoices along with sharing legal responsibilities as full members of the Association. Should a situation arise where there are damages, payments or admission of liability is required, each of the independent schools, as members of ROPSSAA, will be required to contribute their share of such damages and/or payments and/or other liability.
Your completed application will be reviewed by the ROPSSAA Executive at the next regularly scheduled meeting. You will be contacted by the Athletic Convenors to confirm any information as necessary. Membership applications are then voted on by the general membership at the Annual General Meeting.
Once a member, independent schools must re-apply for membership to ROPSSAA annually. Independent schools that become members of ROPSSAA are considered probationary members for a period of five (5) years and must re-apply for membership on an annual basis. After five years, a probationary member may apply for full membership in ROPSSAA.
