Completing this application is the first step in the process of adopting a puppy from Doodle Alliance, but it does not guarantee a puppy from this or any future litter.
APPROVAL AND DEPOSIT: Applications are reviewed within two business days of receipt and processed in the order they are received. If your home is a good fit, you will be notified. Once approved, deposits must be recieved within 48 hours to ensure your place on our waiting list and to hold your place for picking order.
If you make a deposit, you are committing to buy a puppy, regardless of whether your gender/color preference is available.
Should you elect to not take a puppy from the litter, the deposit can be transferred to the waiting list of a different upcoming litter, but deposit is non-refundable.
GOING HOME: It is critical for a puppy's social development that he be settled in with his forever family as soon as weening has taken place. We cannot hold puppies for an extended time; however if you are prevented from picking up your puppy on the appointed date, Doodle Alliance provides care for $35/day. Arrangements must be made in advance.
Please be aware that if you have a vacation planned or events that conflict with the raising and training of a young puppy, puppies cannot be boarded in a kennel until they have received their full immunizations and their rabies vaccination (which cannot be done until three months of age).
CONTRACT: We will not place a puppy without a signed contract. We believe it's the professional thing to do to memorialize our obligations to each other on paper so there are no questions later, and for that reason it's a bit lengthy. If you have questions about specific terms, please contact us prior to applying or picking up your puppy.
SPAY/NEUTER: We require our adopted puppies be spayed or neutered at or before 12 months of age, along with verification. We do not sale to breeders. If you do not spay/neuter your doodle we remain the right to retrieve him/her back into our possession.
REGISTRATION PAPERS: Our excellent family companions do not come with registration papers to any registry. At this time, Doodles are not recognized as a distinct breed by the American Kennel Club (AKC), the United Kennel Club (UKC), the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) or any other widely-recognized all-breed purebred dog registry.
