FUSION is dedicated to creating programs and workshops to support artists.
The Mentorship program is developed for clay and glass artists to expand their technical skills, develop critical thinking and build confidence. Participants have the opportunity to embark on an individual project that will generate a new body of work and/or will resolve current issues in their own work.
SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION:
1. Please ensure you are current FUSION member, If you aren't sure if your membership is current, please email the office at fusion@clayandglass.on.ca. You must remain a member in good standing throughout the duration of the Mentorship Program.
2. Prepare the following documents and images:
A COVER LETTER (in Word or PDF format) indicating that you are applying to the Professional Mentorship and stating that you:
• are committed to the process and will attend all meetings at the locations described above
• will pay the fee of $1500 (+ HST) in one or two installments
• are prepared to set goals in consultation with the mentor
• will challenge yourself to take risks with your work
• are prepared to participate in the final exhibition, which may include providing images of the work that will be exhibited for FUSION’s use for publicity, documentation and/or archival purposes
ii. A CV (maximum two pages, Word or PDF) that demonstrates you are capable of working independently
iii. AN ARTIST STATEMENT of 150 – 250 words (Word or PDF) that includes your reason for seeking to participate
iv. 10 JPEG IMAGES, minimum size 4 x 6 inches, 300 dpi
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST HIT SUBMIT AT THE END OF THIS APPLICATION TO COMPLETE. IF YOU DO NOT, YOUR INFORMATION WILL NOT BE SAVED OR RECEIVED. You will receive a confirmation e-mail after doing so.

Selected participants will be notified by February 21, 2025 via email and will be invoiced. Should you wish to pay in installments, please let the office know.
