Similar to Real Estate Agents, Travel Agents are required to be certified, licensed, and insured prior to selling travel (we'll take care of all this during your training). Independent Travel Agents are required to cover their licensing and insurance expense on a fee-reduced monthly basis.

The licensing bureau charges a one-time license application fee of $149. The only reoccurring expense is a nominal monthly fee of $39.00 to cover your licensing, certifications, web site, and most importantly your Errors & Omissions insurance policy.
