    The Ethics Institute has student research opportunities available to support Dartmouth graduate and undergraduate students. Projects may take place either off-campus or in Hanover. Research opportunities are not given academic credit. Please complete the form below to apply for a Sayles Student Research Grant. Application Components: Full Name, Contact information, Research Project Description, Location (if outside US), Faculty Advisor, Class Year, Major, and Budget. Please check with your advisor to confirm whether the award should be issued to you or transferred to a research account.

    Estimate your total expenses during the research period. Costs may include: housing, travel costs, commuting and parking, meal allowance, supplies, etc. All items and travel must be directly related to your project. Provide an explanation for all expenses. Amount of award may vary. Award maximums are set at $2,500 per student for domestic research projects and $3,500 for projects that take place abroad.
