Approval Process: All applications (new and returning) are reviewed before a student is approved for re-enrollment.

Personal Laptop Option:  KCA allows the Technology Fee to be waived for students who receive Principal approval to bring their own laptops to school daily. Clear guidelines will apply and this privilege may be revoked at any time if the student does not follow KCA laptop guidelines. In this instance, the Technology Fee would be due within 5 business days to KCA at the full rate of $250.

KCA operates solely on tuition fees. Therefore it is essential that all payments be paid promptly. Non-payment for school services and/or lack of adherence to tuition policies may result in the dismissal of your child(ren) from the program.

Early Withdrawal: Enrollment is an annual commitment - tuition is due in full for each enrolled student and the financial obligation remains even with an early withdrawal.

KCA's monthly operating budget & staffing is planned based on tuition income alone. Once a student has been accepted, their tuition is budgeted into the annual plan and early withdrawal does not negate the remaining yearly tuition due.

Cash and money orders must be given in person to Sherry Winslow, Debbie Meyer, or Cheri LaGrone and a receipt given immediately.

RETURNED CHECKS: There will be a $30 processing fee for any checks returned as non-sufficient funds.

HOLIDAYS: Tuition is calculated on an annual basis. WE DO NOT PRO-RATE WEEKLY OR MONTHLY TUITION FOR HOLIDAYS OR ABSENCES DUE TO ILLNESS, VACATION OR INCLEMENT WEATHER.

LATE PICK-UP POLICIES AND FEES:

• 4:00 PM pick-up policy & late fee: We allow a 15 minute grace period. At 4:15 pm your student will be enrolled into the KCA after school class (ASC) program as a "Drop-In" student. Each student will be charged the full Drop-in rate of $15 per day, even if they are only in care for a short amount of time. This Drop-In fee is due upon pick-up, but may be paid no later than the following Monday to avoid late payment fees.
• ASC Pick-up Policy & Late Fee: There will be a $1 per minute (per family) fee for every minute after 5:45 pm that your student is not picked up. When calling ahead, we may allow up to a 5 minute grace period. This late fee is due upon pick-up, but may be paid no later than the following Monday to avoid late payment fees.

SCHOOL YEAR: Classes start in mid-August and runs through mid-May. First Day of School is August 19th.

Please refer to your KCA annual calendar for any holiday information or school breaks, for the most part, if KISD is canceled or has a delay due to inclement weather, KCA will be canceled as well.

POTTY TRAINING: Students must be potty trained (NO diapers or pull-ups) before the 1st day of school.

Katy Christian Academy (KCA) reserves the right, as circumstances may arise, to discharge a student from our school. Parent/Guardian will be consulted before such action is taken.
