    18th Annual Afternoon in the Country - Tasting Participant Registration
  • Thank you for your interest and support of Afternoon in the Country (AITC). The annual fundraiser event held by the Atlanta Chapter of Les Dames d'Escoffier International (LDEI). Through your participation, we are able to offer a food and beverage experience like no other in Atlanta.

    Les Dames d’Escoffier International (LDEI) is a worldwide society of women dedicated to creating a culture in the community that fosters excellence and promotes the achievement of women in culinary professions through educational and charitable activities.

    PROCEEDS BENEFIT SCHOLARSHIPS FOR WOMEN’S EDUCATION, GEORGIA’S FARMING COMMUNITY, AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT FEED THE HUNGRY.

  • Event Farm Partner

  • FOR FOOD TASTING PARTICIPANTS ONLY: An important aspect of the event is ensuring our food participants are utilizing local farm partners for their tastings when possible. In addition to appearing on signage at your tasting table, your farm partner will also receive two complimentary tickets to the event.

    If you do not have a farm partner and you need a referral, we will connect you with Dame Judith Winfrey so we can help pair you up.

  • Tasting Table Information

  • In addition to the Lead Chef/Representative for your Company, we are planning for two (2) Assistants for each tasting table. The Lead Chef/Representative's spouse/partner will be given free admission to the event as well. The maximum number is four (4). Please be mindful that this is a fundraiser, and space is limited at the event.

  • Please be prepared to provide the following at the event:

    Food Participants:

    • Samples of small bite tastings showcasing your best for up to 1,500 people
    • Forks, plates, spoons, bowls, toothpicks, napkins for serving your tastings. Please consider the most eco-friendly option.
    • Cooking and serving equipment (Butane/Propane is permitted)
    • Display decor, floral, promotional materials, etc.
    • Sanitizing equipment, bucket, soap (water source is available).

    Beverage Participants:

    • We are expecting up to 1,500 tasting guests at the event, so please provide a minimum of 6 bottles each of 4 types of wine or enough wine/beer/spirits to serve a small 1 oz. tasting portion to each guest.
    • Tasting cups (if you don’t want your tastings in the wine glass that guests are given) and napkins for serving your tastings. Please consider the most eco-friendly option if you are providing your own cups.
    • Display decor, floral, promotional materials, etc.
  • LDEI Atlanta will provide the following for your tasting station:

    • Food Participants: Two (2) 6' tables, one for food prep and one for food presentation
    • Beverage Participants: One (1) 8’ table, ice, a wrapped lexan tray/tub for chilling beverages, a spit bucket and a water pitcher with water
    • For All Participants:
      • Linens for tables
      • Signage for each tasting station
      • Participant listing in event promotions and collateral
