Candidate Qualities:
- Outgoing and social personality. Not afraid to approach new people and start up a conversation.
- Have a broad social network that the intern can utilize and engage
- Self-Motivated to learn new skills in a business setting (Communication, Promotion, Social Media, Resume, Etc.)
- Ability to manage time and meet task deadlines
- Creativity to think outside the box and come up with new engagement strategies.
Intern Responsibilities:
- Engage at least 4-5 previously uninvolved and under-involved students each month
- Cultivate ongoing relationships
- Data entry for tracking progress with students
- Recruitment and attendance to HMD events
- Share and promote HMD events on social media platforms
Training and Supervision:
- Participate in monthly group trainings lead by a professional coach
- Bi-weekly meetings with an HMD program associate supervisor
