I. GENERAL POLICIES
A. Any events scheduled must not conflict with the regularly scheduled South Rock Christian Church (SRCC) activities.
B. All activities must be scheduled to have a staff member, custodian, or staff designee present. (A staff designee must be someone who has been approved by the staff and has authorization to lock and unlock faciilties.)
C. Normal priorities for use of space and facilities are in this order:
1. Regularly scheduled services and meetings of the congregation
2. SRCC sponsored ministries
3. Groups supported by our Missions Ministries
4. Special occasions by our members
5. Funerals, community groups, area congregations, other non-profit organizations, and area schools
D. Children and youth may not use the building and grounds unless they have adult supervision. If space is required for their attended care, additional space must be reserved when the original reservation is requested. Any group bringing children must provide adequate supervision for their safety. We are not responsible for unattended children.
E. The reserved areas will be supplied with tables and chairs as requested at the time of the reservation.
F. Nothing may be affixed to walls or furniture in the assigned areas, or along hallways leading to the assigned space without prior approval.
G. Inflatables are not permitted during private events.
H. The following is prohibited on all church property: smoking, smokeless tobacco, alcoholic beverages, red liquids, dancing, roller blades, scooters, skateboards, ATVs, and pets/animals (except with prior approval, in a church program and those considered service animals).
I. If you break something, you will be responsible for the cost of repair and replacement. If you discover something in need of attention or repair, please notify the church office.
J. Equipment (tables, chairs, and other equipment) are not permitted to be used away from the church property or outside the buildings without prior approval.
K. Outside organizations will need to provide their own equipment or pay an applicable fee to use ours.
II. MISCELLANEOUS RULES AND EXPECTED CONDUCT
A. Any activity that could be construed as gambling is prohibited in or on church property.
B. Materials displayed and activities conducted during the building use must be in keeping with high Christian ideals and are subject to review and approval by the Church Leadership Team. Authorization for use of the facilities may be terminated immediately by the Church Leadership Team if materials and/or activities are deemed inappropriate.
III. HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
Responsible Party agrees to protect, defend, indemnify and hold South Rock Christian Church and its officers, employees and agents free and harmless from and against any and all losses, penalties, damages, settlements, costs, charges, professional fees, or other expenses or liabilities of every kind and character arising out of or relating to any and all claims, liens, demands, obligations, actions, proceedings or causes of action of every kind and character in connection with or arising directly or indirectly out of this agreement and/or the performance hereof. Responsible Party further agrees to investigate, handle, respond to, provide, defend any such claims, etc., at his sole expense and agrees to bear all other costs and expenses related thereto, even if it (claims, etc) is groundless, false, or fraudulent.
IV. INSURANCE
Outside organizations using South Rock Christian Church’s property/facilities must present SRCC with a Certificate of Insurance, with general liability limits of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, prior to the scheduled event.
