Music Scholarships are available for instrumentalists who have achieved at least AMEB Grade 5 on a wind instrument, AMEB Grade 6 on a string instrument or AMEB Grade 7 for changed voices.
Applications from students playing trumpet, tuba, french horn, bassoon, jazz drum kit, violin, viola or double bass are actively encouraged.
Music scholarships are for students entering Year 7 and above and provide remission of school fees through to Year 12. The level of scholarship awarded depends on the ability of the student and the needs of the School. Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of Anglican Church Grammar School. Competitive entry is based on audition, academic test results and interview.

- Music Excellence Scholarship applications close on 15 March 2027
- Auditions will be held from 22 March 2027.
Audition requirements are similar to those for an AMEB exam. The audition will consist of:
- two contrasting pieces
- a sight-reading excerpt at an AMEB level consistent with the pieces selected
- some musicianship questions drawn from the pieces themselves
- aural tests at the same AMEB standard.
If students require an accompanist, parents must provide one.
