• Class Registrations

  • Several different types of therapy-based sessions are being offered by highly experienced professionals through the Bee Strong Therapy Initiative.  All sessions are offered free of charge. There's something for everyone, from babies, to adults, to parents.  Pre-registration required.

  • Listed below are the various therapy initiative options available throughout the convention.  Descriptions are listed day by day.  Following each day's decriptions you will be able to choose which sessions you'd like to attend.

    Bee Strong Therapy Inititive Kick-Off Event
    Wednesday, July 11  11:30 - 12:45

    Join us to mingle with our experts and learn about all of the amazing opportunities of the therapy initiative. Q&A, take-home tools, giveaways, fun and more!

    Coordination Skills Around the Playground
    Wednesday, July 11 - 12:00 - 12:45

    Join a physical therapist with deep experience with WS to learn how your child can more fully access all playground equipment. Lunch available.

    Aqua Therapy for Parent and School-Age Child*
    Wednesday, July 11  3:00- 4:00 PM; 4:00 - 5:00

    Bring your elementary-aged child for a session with world-renowned aqua physical therapists. Increase your child's core strength, coordination, and muscle tone while having fun in the water! Children must attend with a caregiver in the pool.
    *Parents are responsible for picking their child up early from the camp program (10 minute walk from hotel)

    Wee Ones Reception
    Wednesday, July 11  4:00-5:00 PM

    Moms and Dads: If your child with WS is age 5 and under, PLEASE JOIN US for an adult meet and greet to make connections, share stories, and have fun. Light refreshments.

    Ai Chi with Donna Mooneyham (Self-care for Parents!)
    Thursday, July 12  7:15 - 8:00 AM

    Moms, Dads & Caretakers - This session is for you!
    Ai Chi is a form of aquatic exercise used for recreation, relaxation, fitness, and physical rehabilitation.  Join Donna at the pool for gentle aquatic exercise and coffee before the hectic convention day begins.

    Water Play for Parent and Young (5 & under) Child*
    Thursday, July 12  1:00- 2:00 PM

    Bring your child for a session with world-renowned aqua physical therapists. Increase your child's core strength, coordination, and muscle tone while having fun in the water! Children must attend with a caregiver in the pool.
    *Parents are responsible for letting the childcare coordinators know their child is participating in the session and will be returning late to the program after lunch.

    Semi-Private Water Play for Parent and Young Child
    Thursday, July 12  3:45 PM to 4:45 PM

    Same as above but for small-group (up to 3 participants)

    Is your child struggling with a particular milestone?  Bring your child for a semi-private session with an aqua specialist and learn activities that can help!  Children must attend with a caregiver.
    *Parents are responsible for picking up and returning their child to daycare or camp program if school age (10-15 minute walk).

    Bring your infant with you for a special session with speech therapist, Tovah Feehan and nutritionist, Natalie Navarre to get your questions answered and try out "tips and tricks" to help your child.
