Club Booths
Every club with 4-H members that have entered exhibits must have a booth set up to display entries. However, participation in the booth decorating contest is optional and open to clubs in good standing. Clubs will have the option in this entry form to select display supplies needed. However, you are welcome to get creative and bring your own displays. Please include a detailed description of your space and display needs so that the exhibit hall may be set up accordingly and meet ADA requirements for the public. (I.e., if you will have a large clothing rack, planter, furniture, or an antique tractor ((There's an idea!)) on display, we want to be sure it's in an area that does not cause traffic to be blocked, unsafe walking hazards, nor infringe on ADA requirements).
Exhibit Hall hours for decorating:
Tuesday, July 24th: 11:00a.m.-9:00p.m.
Wednesday, July 25th: 11:00a.m.-9:00p.m.
Thursday, July 26th: 9:00a.m.-7:00p.m.
Club Booth Decorating Contest (Optional)
All clubs in good standing (chartered or chartering) may enter the club booth decorating contest. Clubs on probation may not enter. Booths should clearly display the official 4-H Name and Emblem, club name, club members, and club adult volunteers. Use your creativity to adopt a theme of your own. A club in good standing meets the following requirements:
- Minimum of 5 members from 3 families.
- Participates in the County 4-H Council and other committees.
- Select youth officers or youth leaders to provide leadership to the club.
- Conduct a minimum of 6 regular meetings per year, with many holding 9-12 regular meetings throughout or all of the year.
- Is advised by adult volunteers who have been screened and trained.
Submit a yearly program plan to the Extension Office.
- Set annual club goals and evaluates progress toward those goals.
Plan an educational, experientially-based program.
- Abide by the follow 4-H polocies and procedures.
- Submit an annual financial summary report and audit.
- Be involved in community service activities.
- Keep records of their activities.
- Support the values and ethics of the 4-H program.
- Follow club and county guidelines.
Club Exhibit Entries (Optional)
As a club, you have the opportunity to exhibit the good work you've done throughout the 4-H year by submitting various club work. You may select 2-4 individuals to represent your club at Interview Judging to present your club work to a team of judges. Items that your club may enter:
- Club portfolios: Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, and any other club records pesented as a package.
- Club Banner
- Club T-Shirt (Designed by the club)
- Club recruitment video
- Educational poster about a club activity, project, or other event oragnized by your club.
- Educational video, poster, orother display about proper parliamentary procedure.
