OVERVIEW
The Toward New Destinations Annual Initiatives Grants represent an opportunity to enhance Annual Initiatives that experiment with innovative approaches to the Unit's ongoing diversity strategy.
The seed grants support pilot programs, which should (if successful) be sustainable beyond the term of the grant; future funding can be generated from within the unit or through external grants.
Applicants are invited to apply for one-year grants valued between $1,000 and $7,000 each.
Grant proposals can be submitted by unit diversity councils or diversity representatives (e.g. those who report to the dean or vice president, interface with the University Diversity Council, and engage in the unit in diversity planning).
Proposals may represent opportunities to expand successful Toward New Destinations Annual Initiatives, extend Annual Initiatives that may be of limited scope or size, or provide for new initiatives or opportunities beyond the designated Toward New Destinations Annual Initiatives for the college or unit. They may also cross colleges and units for collaborative purposes.
