  • This audition is earlier than usual due to the Europe tour and Coach Ashley's summer schedule. We know that there are some unavoiidable conflicts during the audition week. If you are unable to attend the audition in person, you may send a video clip of two dances: waltz and cha cha to: idahoballroom@gmail.com.

  • DANCER COMMITMENT

    • I will be respectful and friendly to all teammates.

    • I will be respectful to my coaches. I will not be critical of the coaches in any way. 

    • I will arrive early enough to team practice to be ready to take the floor with shoes on when it begins. 

     • I will not miss team rehearsals for any reason other than emergency or a required school activity. Work schedules will be managed to allow attendance at all practices. 

     • I will wear official team gear to every practice. If I arrive not wearing team gear, I will call a parent to bring it or I will go get it.

     • I will wear dance shoes during team practice. For girls this means either Latin Sandals or Standard pumps. If my feel get tired or hurting, I will switch to practice shoes. 

    • I will not talk to teammates when the coach is giving instruction. 

     • If I am dating a teammate, I will not show public affection or request that person as a partner. 

     • If I miss a class, I will watch the video and work on my own or with a teammate to learn what I missed.

     • I will keep the dress and grooming standards of IBA. I (girls) will do team hair and make-up for all performances. I (boys) will keep my hair at a conservative length.

    In order to avoid any misunderstanding of what is required after registration, please carefully read the commitment and understanding statements and sign below if you are willing to commit you and your dancer to all that is listed.

    There is an understanding that upon registering your child, you commit to all of the following, with the exception of personal illness, injury, or family crisis.

  • As an IBA Parent, I understand that

    • This IBA Dance Season is from late August to early May and my dancer is expected to continue through the final concert in May.

    • I am required to arrange a payment plan with IBA Bookkeeping by Sept. 30. I also understand that all monthly payments must be set up as bank transfer payments.

    • All team performances and competitions are mandatory.

    • All costumes are the property of IBA, and if my child loses or damages any costume or costume piece, I am responsible to pay the replacement cost.

    • My dancer will miss some school days for performances and competitions. These will be one day for the Gem State Classic in March and a half-day for the Middle School show in April.

  • As an IBA Parent, I commit to:

    • Keep myself informed of all classes and events, via checking email frequently and visiting the IBA website.

    • Provide or arrange transportation for my dancer to and from every practice, performance, and competition. 

    • Inform my child’s coach in advance (3-4 weeks) of any conflicts that will prevent my child from attending any performances or competitions.
