Below are descriptions for the volunteer positions. Please note, You must be 21+ to participate during event hours and with beer/wine related products. Shift assignments are subject to change based on need.
PRE-EVENT CREW: SIGNAGE
Cleanly install all event signage for the event during set-up. Make sure signage stays in place during event and adjust anything during or between sessions. Post-event inventory all signage that is reusable and clearly label. Discard signage that cannot be reused.
PRE-EVENT CREW: WRISTBANDS/FRONT GATE
Prepare & review all check-in lists. Ensure proper signage at all ticketing booths. Review event layout, beer & food menu and event policies for potential guest questions. Debrief team on roles relating to guest/BPT list management, cash/CC transactions, etc, ABC Training on proper ID acceptance policies, Set up each check-in table with wristbands, glasses, event programs.
PRE-EVENT CREW: PRODUCTION
Assist with event set-up and general production. Be on call to assist other teams as needed.
VOLUNTEER MANAGERS/CHECK-IN TEAM
Attend a pre-meeting with McFarlane Promotions (date and time TBD) to go over all shift assignments & duties. Check-in all volunteers. Provide them with all necessary passes and shift gifts (post-shift). Explain assignments and walk them over to their post. Manage breaking of volunteers. Answer all volunteer questions and make sure they leave happy. Set up lunch.
To provide breaks to volunteers as needed and take on the duties of that volunteers location until they return.
FRONT GATE / CHECK-IN
To check-in guests with pre-purchased tickets, sell tickets (if available), distibute glasses, wristbands/passes, assist in answering general questions about the event.
BREWERY/VENDOR CHECK-IN BOOTH
Work check-in booth and assist breweries/vendors as they arrive. Give them any packets necessary. Make sure they understand their location. Answer questions about parking, load-in and load-out.
Pour beer for guest brewery. Expain key notes about the beer to guests. Follow all ABC guidelines. Create a fun & friendly experience for each guest.
BREWERY/WINERY CONCIERGE TEAM
Check-in with guest breweries throughout the event to make sure they are doing ok and don't need anything. Cover station if someone needs to use the restroom. Help restock ice.
FOOD VENDOR CONCIERGE TEAM
Assist with load-in food vendors. Make sure they understand their location and have their check-in packet. Assist trucks and vehicles as they load-in to make sure it goes smoothly. Check-in with vendor throughout event to make sure they are doing ok.
Invite people in to attend special workshops & demos. Straighten up the space between groups. Answer general questions and make sure everything runs smoothly.
Make sure entertainment is arriving on-time for their set and contact them if not. Assist entertainment with parking, load-in, load-out. Make sure all hospitality items are refreshed and green room is kept tidy. Make sure acts are going on and off stage as scheduled.
Assist in food prep and distribution
Direct guests to correct parking lot. Direct guests from parking lots to event check-in (you will be their first point of contact with the event so make the experience exciting & fun). Make sure parking lots are well-maintained and there is no broken glass or issues.
Direct guests from the Sprinter station to the shuttle. Act as event hosts on shuttle (you will be their first point of contact with the event so make the experience exciting & fun). Direct guests as they depart shuttle to the Front Gate. Direct guests departing the event back to the shuttle if they are going to the Sprinter.
Place out trash bins prior to event. Service cans throughout event. Bus tables and remove any waste from the ground throughout event. Keep the event super clean throughout. Post clean so the space looks like new.

Volunteer Appreciation Party scheduled for September 16th, 2018 11am-2pm at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens in Escondido
