  • This form will help you order a data file from Political Data. Ordering individual files is currently only available for districts in California. In order to purchase voter data you must be affiliated with a political campaign, PAC, or other entity that is legally permitted to handle voter data.

    If you would like to order multiple files, need files immediately day or night, or plan on using emails or our mobile canvassing app, you should sign up for a PDI Campaign Center account.

    These orders are processed manually by our data specialists in order to ensure data quality and accuracy. Our official turnaround time is 1-2 business days. Orders may be take longer to fulfill during peak times or by special requests. However, ideally most orders are processed the same day.

    We will request a specific due date and time to allow us to schedule your work accordingly. Our minimum order fee is $135.

  • Your contact info

    First, tell us a bit about yourself. We'll contact you if we have any questions about your order.

  • What type of file do you need?

  • Please select the type of file  or list that you'd like to purchase. Each file type is intended for a specific usage and includes only fields needed for that usage.

    For example, a mail file includes only the the voters name and addresss. It does not include the voter phone number or party affiliation and you wouldn't be able to use it for door-to-door canvassing.

  • Electronic Mail File

  • You selected a mail file. Electronic mail files are designed for use in address labelling. The data is householded and CSV-formatted with only voter names and addresses. E-mail addresses and phone numbers are not contained in this layout.

  • PAV / Poll Split

    A PAV / Poll split results into two files. One file will have only Permanent Absentee Voters and the other file will have Poll voters. There is a 25% fee for a PAV / Poll split. This will be added to your final total.


  • Electronic Phone File

  • NOTE:

    You may have selected a universe of voters without phone numbers.

    You chose to purchase a list based on a report filter of {universe_filter} and a universe selection of {universe_selected}.

    If you would like to change your list, go back to the counts and select one of the options described below with phones (if available). Regardless, we will just adjust your order and cost based on how many unique phone numbers are included in your existing selection.

    • In the list of universe rows you can choose to buy a list for one of the following: HAS PHONE, LANDLINE PHONE, or MOBILE PHONE

    • From the report FILTER menu select from any versions of the following: HAS PHONE (LAND OR MOBILE), HAS LANDLINE PHONE (HOME), or HAS MOBILE PHONE (WIRELESS/CELL)

  • You selected an electronic phone file. A phone file is a CSV-formatted spreadsheet with a limited number of fields. Landline and mobile numbers are provided in separate fields/columns. It does not include voter e-mail addresses. This format does not have barcodes and is not printable. If you need a format that is barcoded and printable, go back and select Printable Walk / Phone List. 

    Standard Phone Files for Landlines or Cells

    These files include phone numbers and additional voter info commonly used by most paid calling services and phoning software programs. For an example of some of the fields that are included in these files are phone number, name, address, party and age.

    Automated Phone File
    Our Automated phone file contains unique 10 digit phone numbers only. This is the file used for most calling software/services that transmit pre-recorded messages. Generally, you should only purchase landlines with this format.

     

    Cell Phone Texting File
    This is a stripped down option designed to do simple texting including just basic info like names and cell phone numbers. If your system or project also needs info like address and party use the Standard phone file wireless option.

  • Printable Walk / Phone List

  • You selected a printable walk / phone list. This list type includes the voter name, address, phone number, as well as a barcode to identify the voter. These are also called walk sheets or phone sheets. This list type can be used for both phone banking and door-to-door canvassing.

    Precinct maps are available for an additional charge of $75. These are maps that have the precinct boundaries included. These are useful to hand out to your volunteer canvassers with your walk sheets. You can see a sample here.

    If you are ordering a GOTV walk list, please check with a PDI salesperson to check if polling place locations have been made available by the County Registrar (typically in the last two-three weeks before election day).

    Printable Walk / Phone lists and precinct maps are provided in a PDF format only. You can work with your local printer to print these files for you. We no longer print and ship lists.

    ”Odd/Even” means that odd and even addresses are sorted and printed on separate pages.

    All phone lists are limited to just those voters with phones.

  • Uses

  • Each mail file that PDI supplies is intended for one use, unless otherwise specified. Up to five additional uses can be purchased. 

    Example of one use: 

    • A campaign that purchases a mail file and sends out one piece of direct mail to all addresses on that list.

    Example of multiple uses:

    • A campaign purchases a mail file and sends out three pieces of mail to all addresses on that list. This counts as three uses.
  • Requested Delivery Date

  • We understand all campaigns work on a tight schedule and we try to turn around files as soon as possible. While the counts used to place your order are pre-processed and instantly available to you, the list or file orders themselves are all custom jobs processed manually by our data specialists in order to ensure data quality and accuracy.

    Our official turnaround time is 1-2 business days. Orders may be take longer to fulfill during peak times or by special requests. However, most orders are processed the same day.

    If you have a specific date and time that you need your file delivered by please enter it below. We try to meet your deadline, however please be realisitic and keep in mind that we service thousands of campaigns per day.

    Depending on our workload we may or may not be able to meet you requested delivery by date and time. Under no circumstances do we guarantee delivery by your requested by delivery date and time.

    Here is what to expect next

    • A Political Data representative will review your order for accuracy and eligibility.
    • If you are a new user or placing an order for a new customer, once approved we will create your customer account.
    • You'll be sent login instructions informing you that your new customer portal been activated, requesting that you create a password to login.
    • You will receive an invoice after your order has been processed.  The invoice should be paid from within your account in order to properly release you list or file. 
    • A PDI Rep may also personally contact you when your order is ready with additional instructions.
    • Both your login instructions and invoice will come from NoReply@politicaldata.com.
