TERMS OF SERVICE
The undersigned applies to Rockwood Electric Utility (REU) for services (which includes service at any location as the undersigned hereby requests or may hereafter request or receive from REU) and agrees to receive and pay for such services rendered or reserved for use of the undersigned when bills are rendered in accordance with the rates of REU in effect at the time services are rendered. The undersigned acknowledges receipt of a copy of the REU Service Policy and agrees to abide by the Service Policy and all other policies and regulations of REU relating to service rendered pursuant to this contract. The undersigned understands and agrees that all service provided hereunder is subject to termination upon the delinquency of any one existing account pursuant to this contract. The undersigned accepts all liability for all attorney fees, collection fees, or court costs incurred by REU for the collection of any accounts existing hereunder.
BREAKER POLICY: If there is no electrical service at the service request location, the customer MUST turn off the MAIN BREAKER before a meter can set and electric service can be activated. A meter will not set if the main breaker is on. A $25.00 service charge will reflect on your statement if an REU employee makes an additional service call to activate service due to the disregarding of our breaker policy.
Please contact our office prior to your scheduled activation date if you have questions about our breaker policy. Doing so allows someone from our team to walk you through the process of turning off your breaker, prior to activation of service, and is the best way to ensure no additional activation fees accumulate on your account.
PRIVACY & USAGE POLICY: Usage of the Information obtained through our online residential service application is/will remain per local, state and federal laws. REU may utilize the Information from this application and/or any other application submission found on www.rockwoodelectric.com for the following: -implementation of residential or commercial service, service notifications, safety updates and changes, general-internal PR & marketing updates, rate change notifications, account billing, outage reporting, payment collections, and all other general market information as it pertains specifically to your service involvement with REU. REU and its' affiliates, partners, vendors, board members and anyone otherwise formally affiliated with REU will not use or sell customer information for purposes other than those outlined herein. NOTE- REU may opt, at will, to utilize and share customer information, usage analytics, and all other similar collected data with outside vendors only to analyze and asses the continuation and improvement of electric services to which it may provide in the future. Information obtained may not be used for purposes outside of those listed herein unless otherwise requested by REU and agreed upon in writing by both parties.
Sensitive/personal data and information submitted during the time of submission is processed through a secure, encrypted, online data transfer through secure FTP and stored on a secure data server accessible only by those granted assigned access. Please contact our offices if you feel your privacy has been violated or you have questions about the security, usage or storage of the information and data you have provided.
