The Kentucky Registered Apprenticeship Summit will be held at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville September 10 – 12. School leaders and career counselors, business owners and their HR representatives, government officials, parents and other interested parties are encouraged to attend the entire Summit. Students and adults interested in becoming a Registered Apprentice should attend the Career Fair Portion of the event on days two and three.

The Summit will bring Registered Apprenticeship stakeholders together with business, education, and civic leaders from across the Commonwealth and beyond to discuss ways this proven training model is transforming our state’s workforce. The goals of the Summit will be accomplished by: (1) providing a forum for businesses, education leaders, government officials and others to gather and exchange practical ideas/models for building a robust and sustainable apprenticeship pipeline; (2) delivering access to thought-provoking national and international speakers experienced in managing apprenticeship program in both plenary and workforce sector breakouts; (3) and offering a career fair for high school students, underserved populations and veterans for days two and three of the summit in conjunction with the renowned UPS Career Fair.  

Additionally, the Summit will recognize graduates of certified apprenticeship programs from throughout the Commonwealth. To graduate from such programs, individuals complete the required on-the-job training hours and 144 classroom hours per year. Hear testimony from and interact with these dynamic and highly successful graduates.
