Bodily Fluid Exposure Procedure
In the event that a city employee is exposed to bodily fluids while working they shall:
1. Contact their manager and HR immediately following the event.
2. Fill out an incident report form.
3. Proceed to Workmed in Springville to be tested (within 72 hours).
4. Return to the Springville Workmed for additional testing 3 months from the date of the incident.
5. Notify HR of the test results by providing them with the testing receipt.
The exposed employee will be advised to be cautious around family members and close associates until the blood results are known, including their own. Until the results are known, employees should be advised not to have unprotected sex.
