Foster Contract/Waiver Acknowledgment:

• I agree to the foster terms below and understand that this contract/waiver is valid for any dog that I foster with Jersey Pits Rescue Inc.
• I agree to provide a safe and stable environment, love, and food for my foster dog through Jersey Pits Rescue Inc.
• I agree that all vetting will be paid for by Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. with their approved veterinarians only. 
• I agree that all vetting must be approved by Jersey Pits Rescue Inc.
• I agree that I am responsible for keeping Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. informed about the status and progress of my foster.
• I agree that all non-emergency communication will go through jerseypitsrescue@gmail.com and in the case of an emergency I will call Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. immediately.
• I agree that my foster dog will never be off-leash outside.
• I agree that I will never bring my foster dog to a dog park.
• I agree that I will not introduce my foster dog to any other dog outside of the home without the permission of Jersey Pits Rescue Inc.
• I agree that my foster will be in my home until adopted.
• I agree that if I can no longer foster for whatever reason, I will return my foster to Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. 
• In the case of an emergency return, I agree to give Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. 48 hours to find another placement for my foster.
• I agree that Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. is solely responsible for approving adoptions.
• I agree that I will not create any social media accounts for my foster without the permission of Jersey Pits Rescue Inc.
• I agree that if I decide that I would like to adopt the foster dog, I will
  advise Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. and follow all adoption procedures. I understand
  that while I have been permitted to foster a dog, this does not
  precipitate permission to adopt.
• I agree that Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. makes the final decision regarding the adoption of this dog, which is based on the best interest of the dog.
• I agree to assist in the adoption of my foster through adoption events.
• I agree that Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. is not responsible for any illness or injury caused by any animals, including my foster dog, that I come into contact with during my foster period. 
• I agree to hold Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. harmless and release from liability should I become sick or injured from any animals as a result of my voluntary foster work. 
• I agree that Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. cannot, and does not make any
  guarantees as to the health, temperament, mental disposition,
  and training of the dog. I hereby foster the dog at my own risk.
• I agree that I fully and completely release Jersey Pits Rescue Inc., its founders and volunteers, from any and all claims and liability, including, but not limited to: any defects or illnesses the dog may have or develop, and
  for any injury or damage to persons, property, or other household pets, which may be caused by the dog.
• I agree to indemnify and hold Jersey Pits Rescue inc. harmless against any and all claims and liability, including, but not limited to, those asserted
  by third parties for any injury or damage to persons or property
  caused by the dog.
• I certify that I have never been convicted of animal cruelty, neglect,
  or abandonment by a court of law or other governmental authority.
• I agree that the foster dog is sole property of Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. and they have the right to reclaim the foster dog at any point in time should they see fit.
• I agree that I will allow Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. to visit my home to check on the health and welfare of the dog and for the purpose of determining compliance with the terms and conditions of this agreement if deemed necessary.
• I agree that I am acting as a temporary custodian of any and all dogs fostered for Jersy Pits Rescue and that Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. retains sole ownership rights of any dog offered for foster care.
• I agree that the supplies given to me by Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. are the sole property of the rescue.
• I agree to return all supplies purchased by Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. to Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. at the end of my foster period.
• I agree that if I wish to keep the supplies, I will reimburse Jersey Pits Rescue for the cost of the supplies. 
• I agree that Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. is not required to reimburse me for supplies purchased on my own, unless otherwise specified by the rescue.
• I certify that I have read this foster agreement in full, and that I understand all of the terms and conditions. I understand that if I made any misrepresentation about myself or home environment, or if I don’t abide by all of the terms and conditions of this agreement and my failure to do so in any way jeopardizes or adversely affects the health and welfare of the dog, that Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. can terminate this contract for foster care; and reclaim the dog without notice, irrespective of any expenditures that I have made, and may pursue legal means to do so if necessary. I understand that Jersey Pits Rescue Inc. may pursue legal means to redress any harm done to the dog/puppy. I understand that this contract for foster care is legal and binding, and will be governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.
