The New England Fellowship of Agricultural Adventurers came into being in 1953 as a means of citing leaders who have made exceptional contributions to New England agriculture. Since 1968 this program has been sponsored by Eastern States Exposition. The "Fellows" are selected annually by a committee appointed by the Directors of the Exposition. Considerable emphasis in the selection is placed upon innovation and pioneering. Individually, members of the Fellowship have made significant contributions to the agriculture revolution that has made American agriculture the most efficient in the world.
