Peter Y. Evans, MD, Scholarship Fund
Dr. Evans, one of IJCAHPO’s founding members, was President from 1980-1981, and was its first Executive Vice President from 1981-1995. A scholarship fund was established in his honor to support scholarships for students in the Georgetown University Ophthalmic Medical Personnel Training Program in Washington, DC.

Marina V. Evans Armstrong Memorial Endowment Fund
Marina is the daughter of Peter Y. Evans, MD, and Helga (Kemp) Evans. She passed away in May 2019. Marina graduated from Georgetown University as an ophthalmic technologist and became certified by IJCAHPO as a Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT). Marina’s family set up a scholarship fund for students in training programs, in honor of her legacy.
