We are now accepting presentation and poster proposals
for the 2019 Westberg Symposium: "In These Times: FCNs Serving Through Adversity.” Faith community nurses, clergy, chaplains, health advocates and others involved in wholistic health ministry and crisis care are encouraged to submit a proposal.
Outcomes and Objectives:
The purpose of the symposium is to create a community of knowledge sharing that explores and promotes the ever-expanding specialty practice of faith community nursing focusing on the various forms of adversity that may lead to crisis including physical, mental, spiritual, environmental, financial, or social.
Presentations should CLEARLY RELATE TO one of the following:
1. Providing wholistic care for others facing a multi-faceted variety of crisis or potential crisis situations
2. Awareness of the wide variety of adverse challenges that may occur in FCN practice settings
3. Options for assisting others through adversity in the current world environment.
A workshop is a 60-minute presentation. 45 minutes should be an interactive presentation with 15 minutes allotted for formal and informal discussion.
All presenters must register for the symposium
. Only the lead presenter will receive a $100.00 discount off of registration.
A poster is a visual display that offers information about a program or educational activity or presents findings of a research project.
Poster presenters must register for the symposium.
Only the lead presenter will receive a $50.00 discount.
Submitting a Workshop Proposal
The deadline for proposal submission is September 17, 2018

If your proposal is accepted after blind peer review, you will be required to submit via email, an educational documentation form (outlines your presentation), an AV request form, a workshop summary for the symposium program guide, and other documents needed for CE application and symposium planning.
Your PPT and electronic copies of any handouts will be posted in a closed group for registered participants prior to the symposium.
