Business Advocacy: Policy Development Committees analyze and recommend policy on legislative and regulatory issues.
Business Competitiveness - meets quarterly; identify, discuss, & strategize public policy positions on myriad topics that may inhibit the prosperity of the NKY business community.
Business Technology - meets quarterly; assesses business technology needs, promotes the role of technology in our economy, and strategizes rational public policy to advance business and spur innovation
Employer Legal Strategies - meets quarterly; identify, discuss, and strategize public poliy related to employer legal obligations and changes in law impacting employers.
Energy, Environment & Infrastructure - meets quarterly to shape public policy positions on energy, environmental, and infrastructure issues, focusing on business costs, system reliability, workforce mobility, and economic growth.
Healthcare - meets quarterly to shape public positions on healthcare issues, focusing on employer costs, workforce health, and business competitiveness.
Networking & Special Events:
Annual Chamber Golf Outing - meets monthly, Feb-Aug; plans & assists with the golf outing. Meets the last Tuesday of the month from 8-9am. Golf Outing is in August.
Eggs 'N Issues - meets monthly; helps organize monthly networking breakfast forums. Meets the first Friday of every month, 8:30 - 9:30am. Eggs 'N issues event is every month on the third Tuesday at Receptions in Erlanger.
Business Impact Awards - meets monthly, Sep-Apr; assists in planning the event
Northern Kentucky Young Professionals (NKYP): Meets the first Thursday, monthly from 8:30 - 9:30am
Programming & Events - this committee focuses on developing and implementing NKYP programs and events throughout the year.
Engagement & Outreach -this committee focuses on welcoming and engaging new young professionals into the program while also planning and facilitating NKYP's year-long Community Impact Partnership.
Talent Strategies / Workforce:
Workforce Listserv: Check this box to be added to the list to receive invitations to HR-related events.
HR 100 Planning Committee - meets every other month; plans HR related events and employment law updates for employers to address talent recruitment and retention issues; supports needs of HR professionals.
Employer Best Practices Committee (NKY WORKS Focus Area 5) - meets every other month; provides tools and resources to employers to elevate job quality and the ability to attract, retain, develop, and advance employees.
Workforce Best Practices Symposium Committee - Meets September-March to plan annual event. Selects keynote speaker and roundtable facilitators.
Talent Attraction & Promotion Committee (NKY WORKS Focus Area 4) - meets every other month; develops strategies to improve the region's ability to attract and retain qualified workers.
Workplace Safety Committee - Plans quarterly tours of NKY Chamber member facilities; promotes the culture of safety within the workplace.
Women's Initiative:
Annual Breakfast - meets monthly to plan an inspirational morning event with 800+ attendees. Morning includes networking opportunities, an inspirational keynote speaker, and education about the Women's Initiative program.
Outstanding Women of NKY (OWNK) - meets monthly to plan a luncheon that celebrates women honorees who live, work or volunteer in Northern Kentucky.
Professional Series - meets monthly to plan relevant, interactive, educational programs to support professional development.
Regional Summit - meets monthly to plan an execute the all-day professional development regional summit that appeals to women at all stages of their careers.
Mentoring/Roundtables - meets monthly to pair mentoring applicants and place roundtable applicants.
Connect Hour - meets monthly to plan Connect Hour networking events.
Member Relations:
Ambassadors - meets monthly; connects new members; represents Chamber at special events
Member Retention - meets monthly; contacts past-due members to encourage renewal
Leadership Development:
Regional Youth Leadership (RYL) - Meets the first Wednesday of each month from 3:30–4:30 PM. Committee members design and deliver interactive sessions that focus on career exploration and connect high school juniors to real-world industries and community issues.
Leadership Northern Kentucky (LNK) - Limited to LNK alumni. Session committees meet over a 3–4 month planning period leading up to their assigned session, developing and delivering issue-oriented, interactive content for professionals.
