What We Do:
You Grow Girl! provides comprehensive services to young women to reach their authentic self through the development of life skills, confidence and self-respect.
The Board of Directors is responsible for defining the organization’s mission, setting policy and developing the strategic direction for the organization.
As You Grow Girl! enters its eighth year as 501(c)(3) exempt organization we are recruiting individuals to join the Board of Directors whose areas of strength include: fundraising, public relations, marketing, financial management, strategic planning, human resources, non-profit, community organizing, and tax law.
2019-20 Board Goals:
1) Strengthen and expand our foundation of fiscal sustainability (i.e. diversifying funding sources, development of stronger messaging/need statement, establish a fund development strategy to support high quality program delivery, etc.).
2) Strengthen donor stewardship among our 300+ donors.
3) Establish an advocacy strategy to increase community organization in relation to accessibility to behavioral health and economic equity resources for King County girls and women of color.
4) Commit to maintaining a productive board by actively participating in at least one (1) committee or task force for the duration of your term.
