Throughout the year, Robbie Bustos will be in contact with your school for attendance updates. We appreciate hearing stories, challenges and occasionally attending an assembly. The information helps improve our program.

It is very important that we have communication throughout the school year, this is one of the major factors in the selection process. If it is too difficult, we may not select your school for the following year.

These communications help establish a budget and meet various commitments. Correspondence is primarily through email and will not be excessive. (Info is usually requested in January, March, and May to help with the ordering of bikes).

PROMO ITEMS: Bud Clary Toyota provides letters explaining our P.A.C.E. program to be sent home to parents.We also provide posters to promote the P.A.C.E. program at your school.Do you agree to send the letters home with each student and display the posters?

RADIO: Throughout the year, we schedule several 3-5-minute radio interviews about the P.A.C.E. program. These usually take place from 8am–9am at Townsquare media in Yakima. The community wants to hear about your school and stories about the kids! Do you agree to have a staff member participate?

COMMUNITY: We are working on building community relationships through the PACE program. May our representative(s) be allowed to visit your school on occasion to see the progress of the program, take pictures and possibly participate in an assembly?

RAFFLE: We provide each participating school with one girl’s bike and one boy’s bike for display.
We request these bikes be used for a raffle at the end of the year.
- These bikes will be used to encourage kids to keep up attendance even if they lose eligibility for the P.A.C.E. BIKE!
- For each period (up to individual school), that a student has perfect attendance, the school is to enter the said student
  into a raffle for the bike. This means the more often they have perfect attendance the more often they are entered. At the end of the year, one boy and one girl will be drawn as winners of these raffle bikes.
- We do this to help students stay enthused even if they miss for extenuating circumstances. Also, this should help
  relieve some of the frustration by parents when kids are sick or miss for extenuating circumstances.
