Hi this is Sarah, director and founder of 500 Words Ltd
I want to answer your questions about how we store, control and process any data we hold about you. You can contact me through this webpage, by email at sarah@500words.co.uk, or if it is really urgent ring me on +44 7767 342747.
We want your contracts to help you do business (see our manifesto).
This notice is our contract with you to show how you can trust us with your data.
We take your privacy and how we handle your data seriously. You give us and we collect data (your name, details about your usiness, your clients, your business address and your email address, but not sensitive data) when you ask us to work with you under a contract.
We use that data to carry out our services. We will store that data in documents on a desktop and using a password-protected encrypted cloud storage solution. We store that data for at last 6 years and up to 12 years to ensure we meet our legal and regulatory requirements and have evidence in the event you want to bring a legal action against us. We share basic client invoicing data with our accountancy firm.
We do not store, process, or control any other data. The cloud storage provider and our accountant have confirmed that they comply with all relevant data protection, processing and control requirements.
We handle your data because it is necessary to carry out the services you have asked for. We will not subscribe you to any other emails from our company (you can do that yourself) – as we have no wish to bung up your inbox with more trash.
Under the EU general data processing regulations you have certain rights which are listed below and we want to make sure you understand them.
