Thank you for choosing our studio. Our facility is available for parties, receptions, meetings, seminars, banquets, and luncheons. Available are 10 tables with 80 adult chairs, as are 2 children tables and 16 chairs. A food set up area (not a kitchen). Our Polices and Procedures are STRICTLY enforced. Please read thoroughly before signing. All reservations, contracts, and changes must be made in person by the responsible party at Mariposa Event Studio.

Friday - Sunday bookings are available up to (6) months in advanced. Receptions and reunion my be booked up to 9 months in advance. Any rental booked within 2 weeks of your event will require payment full.

The responsible party must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to reserve the facility, and must provide verification of age and local physical address with current Texas Driver’s License or identification card.

Any entertainment or vendors or decorators will be expected to have liability insurance with a limit of at least $1,000,000 and will name Mariposa Event Studio as additional insured. The studio requires a copy of the insurance certificate before finalized the rental.

Police officer is required for events with alcohol. Only wine, beer and champagne may be served. No glass beer bottles are permitted. Non-alcoholic beverages must be served if there is alcohol. We will schedule the security for you. However, it is the renter’s responsibility to cancel the officers should you cancel your event. The rates for the officers are determined by the Police Department, and will be paid to the officers by the renter at the event. Consumption of alcohol is to remain indoors and is not permitted in the outdoor areas surrounding the building. Failure to comply with this provision will cause forfeiture of deposit and inability to rent again.

Will you be serving alcohol and need to hire a police officer?
The studio will have access to the doors at the start of your rental period, 2PM, unless specified. In some instances a person will be available at the adjoining suite. A checklist of the rules and regulations will be completed. The person signing this agreement must be present, and must remain on the property for the duration of the rental. A lockbox with closing instruction will also be made available.

The facility must be vacated and items removed by the end of the booked time. If an event runs over the contacted time, you will be required to vacate the premises. The facility can be rented between 2pm and 12:00am Friday - Sunday. All functions must be completed and facilities cleared and completely vacated, including the parking lot, no later than 12:00am unless a prior adjustment has been agreed upon.

Please carefully review the following rules and regulations for use of our facilities:
Smoking is prohibited anywhere in the building.

Once adult, 21 or over, per 10 minors is required. Children must be supervised at all times.

No damage to facility, including chairs, walls. Decorations are not allowed to be tacked on wall with pushpins, tacks or anything that will cause damage to the wall. A credit card for any incidentals must be provided. If any damages are present, renter is responsible at 100% of replacement cost.

All decorations are to be removed at the end of rental, including balloons, with the exception of rental items provided as rentals of Mariposa Event Studio. Nothing is to be removed from or attached to any walls, floor or other surface in the rented area or anywhere else inside or outside of premises without specific permission. The use of tape, nails, glue, or any type of adhesive material are not allowed at any time. Any wall damage will be the responsibility of the renter.

Rental requires a cleaning service of $100 to be made in cash at the start of the event directly to contracted crew.

All used food and drinks must be removed from the premises at the end of the event. Food is NOT to be disposed in ANY OF THE SINKS made available. Failure to do so will apply fees for cleaning the grease trap.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Please note initial rental fee or any fees provided for decor are non-refundable. Ensure the space is what you need and that you are aware of the current official information in regards to social distancing implementations and minimized capacity. We do allow for ONE date change as long as it’s is requested 30 business days before event, in order to be able to offer the date to others in the form of a date change credit valid for the rest of the same calendar year, as a courtesy to our clients. ALL FEES are due 30 days before event is to take place, unless agreed upon. If you cancel your event, you will be responsible for THE RENTAL AND ANY DECOR FEES, as the nature of our business and financial responsibilities rely on booking these very limited calendar dates. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN OUR CAPACITY AND OFFERINGS IS WHAT YOU NEED. PLEASE.

Rental fee is non-refundable but can be applied to a date within 12 months after cancellation. Any time after 20 days prior to event any payments made are non-refundable.

Thank you for choosing MARIPOSA EVENT STUDIO for your event and for your attention to the procedures, rules and regulations of our facility. Please sign below that you have read and fully understand the rules and procedures specified above. The Renter is responsible for enforcing compliance wit the terms and conditions of their agreement by individuals attending the event. The Renter will be held responsible for the conduct and behavior of any persons in the group. Pleases note that by signin, you agree to hold harmless, Mariposa Event Decor + Studio from any dispute in the event you or your family become injured during the hall rental. Mariposa Event Decor/Studio will not be held liable for any illness or injury that may occur before, during, of after your rental as well as any property damages. Completing payment is a statement of agreeing to these terms.
