Open call to artists of all trades to exhibit at The Space Gallery during our largest event, the South End Art Hop in September 2018!
Showcase your work on the Space Gallery and The Soda Plant Walls; You will receive a wall space to suit your needs with an average size of 3-4' wide x 8' tall minimum (or larger depending on the wall). You may also register for 5 - 6' wide wall spaces until availability is full. Once you register, we will work with you to find the perfect fit for your work on the walls and pedestals available, during designated drop off timeframes between August 27 - September 4, 2018. Please make arrangements to arrive during the specific timeframes.

Monday, September 3rd by appointment only
Tuesday, September 4th from 3-6pm (email us if you will be arriving during the final week of preparation)
Exhibition duration from September 7 - 29, 2018
NOTE: All work must be ready to hang or install, you will be guided to install the work yourself in the wall space and/or pedestals chosen for you. The gallery is available for assistance, hanging supplies and hammers. If specialty hanging equipment is needed, please bring that with you.
All work must be labeled on the back with your name, title, medium, and price if applicable. All artists must provide a full inventory of this work typed on a separate paper and the gallery will handle all labeling.
All sales, sales tax, and cc fees will also be handled by the gallery. Artists will recieve a check for 60% commission of your set prices of all work sold during the month of September, 30 days after the closing of the exhibition. Please price accordingly, and enjoy the freedom of walking around the event while we handle your sales and promotion!
Art Hop takes place during the following dates/times;
September 7th, Friday from 5pm - 10pm (or later! usually midnight)
September 8th, Saturday from 10 am - 10pm
September 9th, Sunday from 11am - 4pm (or later! We stay until everyone is ready to go. Usually 5 or 6pm)
Main exhibition areas will be open for public viewing Thursday - Saturday from 12-5pm through September 29, 2018.
Pick Up Dates & Times:
During Special Hours:
Saturday, September 29th from 5-8pm (after exhibition closes at 5pm)
Monday, October 1st from 3-6pm
Tuesday, October 2nd from 5-8pm
NOTE: There is a quick turnaround time for pick up and no artwork may be left at the gallery after Tuesday, October 2nd. Please make arrangements to pick up work during the specified 9 hours of pick up or clear alternatives with the gallery.
But Wait! There's more; The Space Gallery Membership Program is in full swing, you may become an artist member of the gallery today for a $5 discount off the annual rate of $45, ($40 in addition to your Art Hop registration).
OPTIONAL GALLERY MEMBERSHIP:
Membership includes a listing on our website (your name, web links and image), discounts on specific exhibition fees, first notifications on Call to Artists and opportunities, access to advice and critiques on your artwork from gallery director, Christy Mitchell, the ability to pitch group and solo shows, and inclusion in an annual member exhibition every May! You will receive emails from the gallery with information on the above opportunities, be sure to include an image and a web link to your work if applicable in the form above for online promotion!
