Please Join Bill Feyerherm and Sandy Johnson for this year’s Past Commodore's Cruise to beautiful Victoria, British Columbia. Since we will be visiting an international city and a foreign capital, our theme is ‘Hands across the Border’. If coming on your own boat you’ll dock at the main Causeway Dock, right in front of the Empress Hotel. Or you may come by ferry and stay in one of the reduced-price Superior or Concierge rooms in the elegant Marriott Inner Harbour Hotel, just a short walk from the docks. The cruise fee for this event will be the same as last year, $75 per person.
Keep in mind that the exchange rate continues to be very favorable, so you may want to browse the shops downtown, or visit the extensive farmers market and craft show just a few blocks from the marina. Other ideas include the special exhibit at the Royal BC Museum, “Egypt: The Time of Pharaohs” or perhaps the Great Canadian Beer Festival. A host of other ideas may be found on the tourism website: https://www.tourismvictoria.com/
The outline of our agenda is:
Thursday, Sept 6. Optional dinner for early arrivals at Spinnakers Pub
Friday, Sept 7. Docktail Party at the Causeway Marina with the Empress Hotel and the Parliament Buildings as a backdrop.
Saturday, Sept 8. After exploring Victoria, we join for Dinner at the Marriott. The menu is a buffet with both chicken and seafood entrée’s. As usual, wine service is included in the price of dinner.
Sunday, Sept9. A Continental Breakfast will be served on the Docks, followed by departure for home or more exploration of Victoria.
