Why should you join the PTA?
We are working with the school to help every single Battle student do well. Join us! Every family should have a voice. You have a say in how money is used and access to tons of volunteer hours.
When are the meetings?
We will have 4 meetings total, 2 each semester.
How will I know what is going on?
Meetings, Battle PTA Facebook, PTA emails, bulletin board in lobby.
What happens to the $5 that I pay to join?
It simply goes to paying the PTA dues for Hamilton County and Tennessee.
What was PTA fundraising money used for last year (2018-2019)?
Summer Teacher Team Building, SmartPass, 5th Grade Jekyll Island Trip, Campus Work Day, Teacher Appreciation, Classroom help, and much more!
Committee Descriptions
Events: Build the community of teachers, students and families
- Connection Events: FREE events for Battle Families (Welcome Dinner, Middle School Fair, 5th Grade Ice Cream Social)
Communications: Communicating through Facebook and membership database management
Fundraising: Fundraising for school and PTA events
- T-Shirt Sales (September and January)
- MainX24 Silent Auction (asking for donations)
- Cookie Dough Sales (November) - Stuffing envelopes before sale, passing out order when the come in
- Asking Places for Donations - food and goods TBD
Empower Students Committee: Provide opportunities for students to excel
- Room Parent - Parent help in classroom
Teacher Appreciation: Supportting the Teachers and Staff
- Snack Cart
- Campus Work Day in April
- Teacher Appreciation Week in February
