Home Start Hope provides brand-new household essentials to women and their children as they transition from homelessness to independent living. Every woman who visits Home Start Hope is welcomed into a warm, home-like setting where she personally selects the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom essentials she needs to begin again.

Our volunteers make this experience possible. Whether you're shopping alongside recipients, purchasing household essentials with our team, assisting with fundraising events, or exploring future board opportunities, your time and talents help create a place of dignity, hope, and new beginnings.

Shopping appointments are scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one hour during the shift.

Our location is: 90 Empire Blvd.

Which days are you available:

Using Home Start Hope funds, inventory volunteers help shop for the household essentials our recipients receive, deliver them to Home Start Hope, and restock the shelves for future shopping appointments. Shifts are typically 3-4 hours during weekday business hours.

Are you available to shop during the day?

The events planning committee generally meets once per month in the evening.
