Candidate materials requested must be excluded from normal lab fee expenditures.
No faculty member will be awarded more than $1000 per year, but may have multiple smaller awards in a given years as long as they don’t exceed $1000 total per year.
Faculty members receiving awards in previous 2 years will be considered only after other faculty making request for first time during period are evaluated. This will help insure funding accessibility to all faculty.
The amount of funds are limited to $4000 initially, and will be evaluated each July for fall semester availability, or until funds are consumed in a given Fiscal year. If new funds become available during the year, faculty will be requested to submit teaching support request forms.
The applications will be reviewed by a sub-committee of the teaching faculty committee.
Examples: Teaching software for class, lab demonstration components used by instructor, materials to build display models, support textbooks, instruments, and so on.
