K4K Ignite Leadership Program: Grades 6, 7 & 8
The K4K Ignite Leadership Program is designed for students in Grades 6-8. It promotes mentorship and leadership development. Ignite has become an important program for Canadian youth inspiring leadership and building confidence that is needed to be successful. Ignite will help youth academically, in sports, with relationships and prepare them for employment. Topics include: How the characteristics of a leader will build an impenetrable personal brand; anti-bullying strategies; social media: how it can affect your reputation, building relationships in school and on the job, how entitlement kills potential, how the small things you do can lead to opportunity and success, positive mental health, developing mentoring skills and when enough is enough: talking about getting stuck on video games, social media, and popular brands. The students will be taught by award winning Scott Graham, who is a best selling author, TED speaker, Meritorious Service Medal recipient, and who has been featured on TV, radio and newspapers.
Program Duration: 5 weeks (January 29, February 5, 19, March 3 & March 4)
Program Day and Time: Wednesdays during the lunch hour from 12:10-1pm
Program Cost: $85, including a pizza party and t-shirt
