Beyond Rescue | Adoption Application

Thank you for taking the time to fill out this application to adopt one of our adorable rescue dogs. It's important that you complete all required fields marked with* and elaborate wherever possible. Our Adoption Team will use your answers to evaluate if your home is the best match. The more you share, the better!

Pitbull specific adopters are required to fill out the Pitbull Adoptions section.

Pricing: The Adoption fee for every dog is $450, which helps cover Spay/Neuter expenses, Flea and Tick medication, Microchips, and Vaccinations.

As a reminder, we are a volunteer based organization and typically do not have the capacity to reply to every application. You will be contacted if we believe you are a good fit for the dog.

 Adoption Policies:

Criteria:

• All adopters must be 21 years of age (25 for pitbulls and strong breeds)
• Must live in the greater Bay Area—no out-of-state adoptions.
• Renters must provide approval from landlord that dogs are allowed. Homeowners must provide proof of home ownership.
• A home visit may be required depending on the dog.
• Some dogs will require training as part of the adoption, and continued support.

Adoption includes:

Safety Net for Life Guarantee:  Once a dog enters our care we will do everything in our capacity to ensure the it never becomes homeless or endangered again in its lifetime.  If an adopter needs to return a Beyond Rescue dog, we will make every effort to help rehome it.  Should an adopted dog need rehoming, adopters must notify us so we can utilize our process and expertise in finding an ideal placement.   If you help us keep current records of the owner and location we can support you if the dog gets lost or goes missing. 

Vetting: All Beyond Rescue dogs are adopted out with age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All post-adoption costs and medical expenses are the responsibility of the adopters as the new dog owner. 

Dog Records and History:  Beyond Rescue makes every attempt to assess and honestly disclose all known information about our dogs, but we cannot guarantee the future health or disposition of any adopted animal.  Dogs can change based on age, environment, and genetics.  We provide copies of any and all dog records we have received within 7 days of the adoption.

Behavioral Support:  All dogs benefit from training, and whether you're a seasoned dog owner or a brand new doggy parent we welcome you to utilize our training clinics and resources.  We're here for you beyond the adoption day!  

Community Events:  Stay connected by participating in our pack walks, doggy celebrations, and fundraisers.  We are all dog lovers here, and staying united will help us address the problem of dog homelessness together.

*Adoption fees are not refundable or transferable after 1 week or a pre-agreed upon trial adoption period.
