Survey: Macros/Keybinds/Auto-clickers on EMC
Introduction:
Macros/Auto-clickers/Keybinds have been heavily debated since their initial use on EMC. Staff are currently looking to revise the limitations put in place in 2016. We'd like to know the community's thoughts on what staff should change about the current limits as we discuss.
Current regulations: https://empireminecraft.com/wiki/conditionally-approved-mods/
The use of any macro or keybinding mod (including auto-clickers) must currently adhere to the following restrictions:
- No AFK world interaction.
Example: Your account may not interact with the world if you are not physically behind your computer. If you are AFK while clicking, or interacting with the world, this is NOT allowed.
Example: Use of automatic fishing machines that operate by clicking are fine so long as you are active and able to respond at any time.
- No exceeding normal play ability
Example: Anything greater than 10 clicks per second is not allowed. While we are aware that some people can click faster than this, the clicking ability limit is set by what is sustainable for long periods of time.
- No performing more than 1 immediate action per click
Example: If you trade with a villager with a macrokey, then you need to click your key the required amount of times. If you trade 25 times with 25 clicks, that is okay. If you trade 25 times with 1 click, that is NOT okay.
- No simultaneous world interactions on multiple accounts at once.
Example: If you are using an alt account to mine with an auto-clicker at the same time as you are actively fighting a mob, this is not allowed, regardless of being AFK or not. Only one account may interact with the world at a time.
Note: Using multiple accounts that are operated by multiple people behind multiple computers is acceptable.
- No using macros/keybinds/auto-clickers during events on EMC.
