Troop meeting details like the time and place of meetings is used for two purposes:
- This information is key when helping families get into Girl Scouts as they need to be sure that the troop meetings would fit into their busy schedules.
- Girl Scouts of Western Ohio uses troop meeting details in the pursuit of grant funding. This funding goes to support the programming and opportunities offered to Girl Scouts in our council.
Please understand that this information is not shared publicly. The troop meeting day, time and frequency is visible to families in the registration process who are searching for a troop opportunity that fits their schedules. They can also see a generalized location of the meetings. For example, if you meet in the school cafeteria, the location will be displayed as simply the school name.
It is up to the troop leaders to provide specific meeting information to all new members.
