Volunteer Registration is now open for 13th Annual Youth & Peace Conference!
Join us for the 13th Annual Youth and Peace Conference presented by Tucson Youth and Peace and other co-sponsoring organizations on Friday, September 20th from 8:15 am to 2:15 pm. The conference is open to youth and young adults (ages 12-24), and will be held at Pima Community College - West Campus, 2202 W. Anklam Rd.
The Annual Youth and Peace Conference would not be possible without volunteers! Each year we rely on dedicated community members who truly support youth empowerment and peace building in our community.
The 2024 YPC Youth Leadership Team decided to focus this year’s conference on Creating Safe Spaces Within our Community: Raising Awareness & Finding Resources and addressing the following themes:
- Mental Health
- Substance Misuse Prevention
- Self Care
- Social Media & Safety
Workshops, dialogue circle conversations, the opening ceremony & the afternoon plenary session facilitated by the Youth Leadership Team will highlight these issues and provide multiple opportunities for participating youth to gain important information and share their viewpoints and perspectives. The opening activity is a Resource Fair with over 45 exhibitors sharing important information about resources and services in the community.
Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to volunteer and be part of the 13th Annual Youth and Peace Conference!
We look forward to seeing you! Any questions about volunteering, please contact: Kourtney Kazakos, 2023 YPC Volunteer Coordinator, 208-407-7768; kourtneyk@azyp.org.
