We only work in South Negros Oriental. There are no activities in Manila or elsewhere.

It is not possible to join us only in weekends.

It is free to join in our beach clean up efforts, and we warmly welcome you! You can see on this page where and when they are. Again: We only work in South Negros Oriental. There are no activities in Manila or elsewhere.

To join as a scientific scuba diving volunteer is not free. You can see all volunteer fees here. The minimum duration for non-divers is six weeks.

Kindly note that for liability reasons and due to the nature of the oft strenous work we carry out, MCP cannot accept volunteers younger than 18 years of age or volunteers aged past 60.

Interns serve a tremendously important role in our organisation and it's possible to intern in different roles. To intern require considerable skills, time and commitment. Please understand that although internships are more affordable than regular volunteering, it's something completely different - and most definitely not volunteering on the cheap. To intern means hard work in a dynamic organisation.

How would you like to intern?

Kindly note, that research interns are expected to be working on a Phd or have completed a MSc or BSc program in marine biology (or a related field.)

You are able to commit to four month (minimum) on set start dates, to be discussed upon application, and we expect you to bring your own laptop for work and data entry.

How long can you volunteer with MCP? Minimum stay is six weeks, but many stay longer.*

MCP accepts volunteers every second Monday. It's not possible to arrive any other day than a Monday. We kindly ask volunteers to stay for an even number of whole weeks, so - if at all possible - you eventually leave on a Monday again. If you select "a specific date" below, you will be able to see available options in our calendar.
