What is a Pre-Auth?
Preauthorization on a Card:
Preauthorization is a temporary hold on a specific amount of funds from a cardholder's account. This ensures that the money is available, but it isn't actually taken out or spent.
How leibtour.com uses Preauthorization:
We temporarily "
freeze
" a specific amount on your card. This means that for 7 days, this amount is set aside and can't be used elsewhere. After the 7 days, we "
release
" the funds, which means the money is available for you to use again as you normally would!
Card-absent and Card-present transactions:
We primarily deal with card-absent transactions. This means that our business focuses on accepting payments online or over the phone, where customers provide their card details without physically presenting the card. We do this to make it convenient for customers to book our services, but it's important for us to ensure the security of these transactions to protect against fraud.
Please Note:
If the process takes longer than usual, don’t panic!!! There is no need to call us asking for the deposit refund status.
