Fast Pitch!
In this interactive session, you’ll pitch your book project to a publishing company editor or an agent and will receive immediate feedback on your pitch and project. Two sessions will be devoted to Fast Pitch: one on Friday, October 25, and one on Saturday, October 26. Both sessions will begin promptly at 10:10 a.m. You and up to four other participants will be assigned to a table with at least one publisher or agent. Table assignments will be based on availability and on which representative is the best match with your answers to the application questions. You’ll have three minutes to pitch and four minutes to receive feedback on your pitch and project idea. The deadline to apply is October 3, but spots may fill up before then, so make sure to apply as soon as possible. Individuals who do not receive a spot will be put on the wait list. At least two weeks before the conference, those who receive a spot will be notified regarding who their assigned editor/agent is. Those on the wait list will be notified at least one week before the conference if a spot has opened up.
