    City Colleges of Chicago - Wright College Student Activities
  • We would like to congratulate you on taking the necessary steps for getting your club recognized on the Wright College campus. Your club will serve a very important part in establishing a community of engaged and involved students and provide some co-curricular life to the student body. We have revamped our registration process slightly and ask that you please review the packet of information and make sure that all forms are fully completed before turning them in to Student Activities for Student Government approval! There are several signatures that need to be provided in order for your organization to be recognized, so make sure you do not miss any! Some of the major changes this year include:


    1. All clubs are required to have a monthly business meeting. The minutes from these meetings need to be sent to the Vice President of SGA and the Student Activities Director.
    2. All clubs are required to have one member in attendance at every SGA General Meeting at 3:00pm on Wednesdays.
    3. All clubs will need to go through mandatory club training. A minimum of two officers need to be present and everyone in the clubs invited.
    4. Any student serving as an officer of an approved college clubs, groups, or organizations must be enrolled for at least three (3) credit hours at Wright College and maintain a cumulative 2.3 G.P.A. during each semester in which the student is an officer. 

    5. Any CCC student with a minimum of a 2.0 cumulative GPA and enrolled in at least three (3) credit hours at Wright College may join any approved college club, group, or organization.


    All clubs and organizations must be registered through Wright College. To become registered, please fill out this packet and submit it to the Student Activities Office. Your club will be voted on at the SGA meeting following the submission of a completed packet. Please plan on sending a representative from your club to present the request and to speak on behalf on the club.

  • Official Organization Registration and Letter of Agreement

  • We pledge our cooperation with the staff and faculty at Wilbur Wright College and thereby agree to abide by the policies and procedures outlined by the City Colleges of Chicago Board of Trustees, Student Government Association and Wilbur Wright College's regulations governing the establishment and management of student organizations. In doing so, we may use the facilities and name of Wilbur Wright College.

    We further agree to adhere to the guidelines established for expenditures of Student Activities Funding as established by District, Student Government Association and the College Business Office as Student Government is responsible for the allocation of funds to the clubs with approval of the Director of Student Activities

    Any and all profits collected by student clubs and organizations through ticket sales, contributions and/or other fundraising events will be immediately deposited in the club's agency account (Business Office) by the club treasurer within 24 hours of the event. A copy of the receipt should be submitted to SGA and the Student Activities Director. Payments from these funds or any other funds may only be made through a purchase order issued to the club designee, Advisor, and the the Director of Student Activities

    Solicitation of funds and selling or free distribution of merchandise of any kind will not be done without the recommendation of your Advisor or the Director of Student Activities; prior to the approval of Facilities.

    We further subscribe to non-discriminatory practices in membership to this proposed organization which will be open to any Wilbur Wright College student regardless of race, gender, sexual preference, disability, creed, religion, color or origin.

    ***Exceptions are honorary societies and Student Government Association (minimum GPA requirements)

    We understand that any violation of the aforementioned college guidelines or regulations prescribed by the college and the District may result in dismissal of our club.

  • All student officer/leader(s) must abide by the agreement stated in this handbook outlined below. Non-compliance with this agreement will dissolve all benefits afforded to student leader/officers and can be reprimanded to the fullest extent laws and/or policies of any outside governing organization, Wilbur Wright College, City Colleges of Chicago, and/or United States of America.

    As a student officer/leader:

    • I will meet in person with my advisor at the beginning of each semester to review the CCC Club Guidelines and to establish a working relationship between all parties.
    • I am fully aware as a representative of Wilbur Wright College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago; I agree to abide by the rule set forth in the SGA Guidelines, CCC Student Policy Manual, and any rules and regulations sanctioned by the club.
    • I affirm I must be enrolled for at least three (3) credit hours at Wright College and maintain a cumulative 2.3 G.P.A. during each semester in which I am an officer.
    • I will fully enforce the policies and procedures outlines in the City Colleges of Chicago SGA guidelines pursuant they are in compliance with this agreement.
    • I understand I am to uphold the standard of conduct stated in the City Colleges of Chicago Student Policy Manual while as a student leader of Wilbur Wright College Campus.
    • I understand an officer may be removed for failure to adhere to their duties.
    • I understand that at least one oclub member must be present at all SGA General meetings.
    • I understand my conduct, any activities, and/or behavior I engage in that are in violation of the City Colleges of Chicago Student Policy Manual while off campus can have an impact on my service as a student officer/leader.
    • I understand my club advisor must be present at all club related events, activities and meetings.
    • I understand an electronic copy of all meeting minutes must be submitted via email to the SGA Vice President  and the Director of Student Activities within five days of the completion of the meeting. Minutes are required to be attached for all fiscal requests.

  • Club/Organization Advisor Compliance Agreement

  • As an Advisor I agree to:

    • Assist with the coordination of all activities, events and meetings according to the policies and regulations outlined in the SGA Guidelines, CCC Student Policy Manual, and any rules and regulations sanctioned by the club.
    • Hold consultations with the Officers about the programs, plans, and problems of the club.
    • Approve all club requests for facilities, expenditures, travel, etc. prior to submitting to the Office of Student Activities for final approval and processing.
    • Assist the Officers in maintaining Club ledger and monitoring funds.
    • Attend all activities, events and meetings held by the Club. I understand I am required to stay for the duration of activity, event and meeting.
    • Chaperone all club related off campus events.
    • Advise the Office of Student Activities, in writing, if he/she decides to resign as club advisor.
    • I understand an electronic copy of all meeting minutes must be submitted via email to SGA Vice President and the Director of Student Activities within five days of the completion of the meeting. Minutes are required to be attached for all fiscal requests.

  • By signing this roster, you are acknowledging that you are a member of this club and are responsible for adhering to all club rules and responsibilities.

    Any CCC student with a minimum of 2.0 cumulative GPA and enrolled in at least three (3) credit hours each semester may join any approved college club, group, or organization.
