    Monthly Focus Areas in 2024:

    • September - Sports in Agriculture
    • October - Animal Care
    • November - Forestry
    • December - Made in Michigan

     

    High School: The top ten chapters will receive anywhere between $100-$1000 as a cash award with a total of $5000 provided by MFB and the Michigan Foundation for Agriculture.

     

    Collegiate: First place receives $500 cash prize. Second place - $300. Third place - $200. Each of the top three students will also earn their chapters their respective prize award as well!

  • CHALLENGE TIMELINE

  • August:

    • Registration opens on August 1st.
    • Upon registration, FFA Chapters and Collegiate members receive their welcome email and commodity sharegraphics.

     September:

    • The five challenges are completed and posted, along with the monthly commodity sharegraphic, through September 30th.

    October:

    • Leader Board posted October 5th.
    • Critiques and praises provided via email.
    • The five challenges are completed and posted, along with the monthly commodity sharegraphic, through October 31st.

     November:

    • Leader Board posted November 8th.
    • Critiques and praises provided via email.
    • The five challenges are completed and posted, along with the monthly commodity sharegraphic, through November 30th.

     December:

    • Leader Board posted December 13th.
    • Critiques and praises provided via email.
    • The five challenges are completed and posted, along with the monthly commodity sharegraphic, through December 31st.

     January:

    • Winners will be notified via email and announced on the Michigan Farm Bureau Facebook page on January 10th.

    February:

    • Collegiate Division winners and their advisor will be recognized at the 2025 Growing Together Conference.

    March:

    • High School Division winners will be recognized during the 2025 Michigan FFA State Convention.
  • MONTHLY CHALLENGES & SCORING OVERVIEW

  • Each month has one sharegraphic provided by Michigan Farm Bureau to post on your social media platform. The other four posts must be selected from the ten challenge options specific to the month's focus area. Any and all information posted must be from reliable and valid resources.
