We are currently hosting the following panels. Which are you interested in?
Parenting Children in a Diverse Society: transracially adopted adults and former foster youth and parents, explore what LGBTQ+ and/or ethnic minority youth & children need from their parents in order to grow up with strong self-esteem.
International Adoption Education: parents who have adopted internationally will discuss the overall process, travel, talking about adoption with your child(ren), how you support your child's cultural heritage, post placement and post adoption resources.
Domestic Infant Adoption Education: birth/first & adoptive parents share the journey though decision making, match, placement, preparing for first conversations, emotional impacts, attachment, talking with children about adoption, relationship development and openness.
In the future we would like to add additional panels. Which are you interested in?
Foster Care Education: foster and kinship parents and youth will discuss the ups and downs of parenting through foster care, working with counties, birth parents, visits and reunification, both in the traditional and concurrent programs.
Expert Panel Discussion or Presentation: We are always looking for new ways to learn and grow, and help families do the same. (Note subject of interest below.)
Why do you want to participate in a panel?
Provide a short bio on yourself and your journey with EVOLVE, adoption and/or foster care.
Will be shared with participants during panels.
What is your availability on Friday or Saturday afternoons?
Panels are generally 1 hour in length, between the hours of 1-5 p.m. With the exception of IGNITE which would be between the hours of 4-6 p.m on a weeknight.
How often would you like to present on a panel?
